Tomorrow, March 17, the 2016 edition of the Dutch VMUG will be held at the 1931 Congrescentrum Brabanthallen in ‘s Hertogenbosch. This is the biggest VMUG event in Europe, and packed with a lot of interesting sessions, sponsors and experts ready to answer all your questions. Heuj!
Over 25 sessions and workshops will be held from 09:30 to 16:30, there is a sponsors floor, enough room to chat with the experts and of course the closing reception.
The NLVMUG Leadership Team with Dennis Hoegen Dijkhof, Arjan Timmerman and my good friend Joep Piscaer has done a tremendous job organising the event, getting sessions not only from sponsors and VMware professionals, but also from the community themselves. And of course some big international names like Kit Colbert, Jay Marshall and Chris Wahl, and famous Dutchies like Henk Arts, Raymon and Duncan Epping, Viktor van den Berg and Jan Willem Lammers are present. See the complete list at nlvmug.com. This looks promising!
Looking at the session list, it’s trouble immediately after Kit Colbert: the first breakout timeslot. Three out of five breakout sessions look interesting, especially stretch cluster and designing a vSphere storage environment. Second session favorites are DR for SDDC, and the hyperhyperhyper from Joep Piscaer. Third slot offers Viktor with DRaaS and storage architecture from Yaworks.
After the great lunch it’s Nutanix / Sligro against VSAN 6.2, with a buzzword session by Ruurd as a good third. Final slot offers Henk Arts from Veeam and NSX in practice to choose from.
We’re going with a bunch of colleagues from OGD ict-diensten, and afterwards we’ll be dinnering the night away. And within a month we’ll be bringing all knowledge we gathered to a famous “pizza session” at OGD HQ, to share everything we learnt with the colleagues that weren’t there but still want to hear how it was.
Now what time were we expected again …
